What is winter without snow?
Hm'm'm.
Okay, I give up...
*
The cold was our pride,
the snow was our beauty.
It fell and fell, lacing day and night together in a milky haze,
making everything quieter as it fell,
so that winter seemed to partake of religion
in a way no other season did,
hushed, solemn.
Oh, my. Yes.

It's true there is beauty in the snow...but oh..it's cold.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a little itchy for some snow. Anytime after the 21st when my kids are home safe from college. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteDelores--cold is the trade off!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan--these are some of the joys of living in Central PA.
Snow does posses a certain magical beauty, and I wouldn't mind visiting it, but I sure don't miss living with it. Winter without snow is pretty doggone nice!
