T is for Thrills

I love the thrill of a roller-coaster ride…the kind that swings you every which-a-way, turns you upside-down and inside-out until you’re totally disoriented, then screeches to a halt leaving you grateful to have survived but still a little wobbly…

…the way life can get…the way it propels us up and down, over and under, around and through. As it excites us or frightens us or leaves us reeling until it delivers us safely home.
You can learn something about life from taking a roller coaster ride that makes it worth the risk. Right away you discover that taking the proverbial plunge can be exhilarating. And you never know what’s around the next bend. Eventually you learn not to hang on so tight. Sometimes the whole world seems topsy-turvy. But no matter how thrilling or how frightening it is, we all come through it just fine
Some people don’t agree with this, though. They don’t care for thrills. They prefer to take the safe and leisurely way through life...

No problem. They’ll get through it, too…eventually.

What kind of ride will you take through life?

“All of us have had the experience of a sudden joythat came
when nothing in the world had forewarned us of its coming--
a joy so thrilling that if it was born of misery
we remembered even the misery with tenderness.”
--Antoine de Saint-Exupery--

  1. I do enjoy thrills but none that include height. I even sky dived to try to face the fear...no good.
I ride a motorcycle; drive fast I just love my thrills closer to the ground.
